Stumbleupon Social bookmarking Effectively

If you are looking for traffic StumbleUpon is an alternative that you can use. For those of you who are not familiar with StumbleUpon, it’s a Social Networking website that enable people to bookmark a website and let other people in the community discover it. In this way StumbleUpon will drive traffic to your website. But it’s not that simple since there’s no guarantee that the blog you submitted will be stumbled by other users.

In this post i’m talking about stumbling your own blog. Some of you may said that it’s not right but to be honest unless your blog is popular or you have wrote a very good quality post it’s not easy to get people to stumble your blog just like attract people to comment on your blog.

However, most of the case people think that once they stumble a post from their blog they will get a huge traffic automatically. Well, that not right. What i learn from my experience stumbling a blog is like selling things in a rush market. So you have to know few things to get the most of the benefits.

1. Know the right time to stumble

No matter how rush is a market there’s a time for them to take a break before they start again. If you stumble a blog when other stumblers are sleeping you will not get significant reply event it’s a very good quality post. Based on my observation the best thing to stumble is in the morning during working days (6-9 US time) and afternoon during the weekend (4-6 US time). Don’t ask me why but that’s what i found. You may have different experience so you can share it here.

2. The Title is the key

The first thing that stumblers see is the title of the post. The blog that will get stumbled is the one with an attractive title. At this point your effort is started from the first time you write the post. You must find a way to make an attractive title for your blog post.

3. Write an effective review

When you stumble a blog you will be asked to write a review about the blog. You don’t need to write a very detail and long review since most of the time stumblers don’t have enough time to read all of them. You must write a quick review and stick to the point so stumblers will get it in 1 or 2 sentences.

4. Select the right Category

The blog you stumbled will be listed on the category you selected. To get the best targeted stumblers you must select the best category that fit to the content of the blog.
