First - Go to eBay Pulse. eBay Pulse is a free tool that eBay supplies on their website. It allows you to see the top ten searches on eBay within a particular category. So for example, if you want to sell golf supplies, then you can go to eBay Pulse and see what people are searching for within the golf category on eBay. Knowing what people are searching for is a must if you want to be successful at selling on eBay. I don’t want to list items that people are not interested in. I want to list the hottest, most in demand items, I can find. There are other tools that will help you find what is in demand on eBay, but eBay Pulse is free and is a good starting place.

Two - Once you find an item or two that is in great demand, then you need to find a reliable wholesaler or dropshipper of that product. This is the most difficult part of selling on eBay.
