When I learned about dropshipping, I thought it would be perfect for me. And I was right!
Here’s how dropshipping works. A company has many items for sale but doesn’t want to spend the time, money or hassle marketing and dealing with customers. That’s where you come in. You set up a website with whatever products you’d like to sell. The orders come to you and you then turn around and place them with dropshipping company.
After you enter the details of how much the customer is buying and where they’d like it sent, the retailer does that is known as dropshipping. That means that instead of sending it to you to ship to the customer, they ship it directly to them. However, your customer will not know any of this as you will be the only one they deal with.
I’ve been doing this for years and I basically do no work. I typically get around 1,000 orders a week and only about 10 of those require any work from me, beyond forwarding the order to the dropshipping company.
