Perhaps the biggest obstacle you will encounter with eBay selling is finding good products to sell. Most eBay powersellers have a Wholesale Dropship Supplier. This is the most efficient way to source products to sell. I’m going to mention a few other methods sellers use to find wholesale eBay products.
A good way to find supplemental products to sell on eBay is by visiting garage sales. This method takes patience and persistence. This method means getting up early on the weekends and driving around, looking for items priced right. It’s not a method I prefer but if you could pick up a big lot of used books, dvd, or antiques for example, you may be able to make a few dollars.
The second method that some sellers use is by purchasing at liquidation sales. Liquidation sales can be a great way to get products at pennies on the dollar but finding the right products can become time consuming. If you are in the market of selling electronics, purchasing tools on a liquidation sale me not be wise unless you are very familiar in that market as well.
Another fairly affective method is buying from estate sales. Estate sales are not my favorite way to find wholesale eBay products but they can be goldmines if you find the right one. You can find a lot of vintage products such as jewelry, furniture, even clothing at these sales but they do take some work getting into and you must be ready to jump on the deals if you find them.
Store Clearances can be a good source of products to resell on eBay if you are patient and have some cash at hand to stock up on products. Many stores will have an inventory reduction sale once or twice a year and these can be great ways to get products at much less than can be sold on eBay. I used to do this years ago before moving on to more efficient ways of sourcing products.
The last method I will mention is the method most eBay powersellers use. This is called Wholesale Dropshipping. A good wholesale dropship supplier is the most important part of wholesaling on eBay. This is by far the most efficient way to sell products on eBay.
What I love about wholesale dropshipping eBay products is that I don’t have to stock the products or make trips to the post office.
